Amsterdam is one of the most vibrant and interesting cities I’ve been to. In every time of the year you will visit Amsterdam you will see masses of tourists. When you come to the capital of the Netherlands you get a sense of freedom and open minded people. There is something for everyone in Amsterdam. You have a lot of amazing galleries and museums, my favorite is Van Gogh museum. There is also a lot of sight seeings where you can take children, like the Nemo museum (it’s a museum of experiments) and Anne Frank house. You can drive around the canals with a boat and cycle around the city for hours. For a little more unique experience you can visit the Red light district (although in my opinion it is quite sad to look at all those girls in the windows) and go to one of the infamous coffee shops. For all the shopaholics out there there is also a wide variety of shops you can go to. My favorite shops are Brandy Melville and Urban Outfiters and any time I need a new lace bralette I go to Monki. The best bookshop in my opinion is Waterstones, a British book store, that has an incredible collection of good books. And we can’t forget the beautiful flower market for all the flower lovers. So if you have the chance, Amsterdam is definitely one of the must see capitals of Europe.
